Allergies During Pregnancy

A new study out suggests that allergies and asthma symptoms may increase during pregnancy. The study observed 80 pregnant woman and found that symptoms increased with those carrying girls.

During the study, woman pregnant with girls exhibited increased asthma and allergy symptoms. Doctors suggested that these flare ups in symptoms were due to some sort of immune challenge. This challenge caused greater inflammatory response in woman carrying girls.

In the end, more studies are needed to confirm these findings. Even still pregnant woman should make sure to seek help from their allergist if symptoms arise.
