Asthma

With over 300 Asthma sufferers around the globe, researchers are constantly looking for ways to battle this disease. A new study out by the University of London suggests that asthma patients could help reduce the risk of an asthma attack by taking a Vitamin D supplement in addition to their standard asthma medications.

The study itself conducted trials in various countries including the United States, Canada, India, Japan, Poland and Britain. Researches found that Vitamin D reduces the risk of severe asthma attacks needing hospital visits, reducing it from 6% to around 3%.

Although more studies are needed in children and adults, this is a promising start helping asthma patients around the globe.
