Dr. Stella Hartono immigrated to California from Indonesia She attended California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in Pomona, California where she graduated summa cum laude in Chemistry and Microbiology. Passionate about medical research, she obtained a combined MD and PhD at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota, followed by residency training in Pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Hartono completed her allergy/immunology fellowship training at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland where she received multiple awards from both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, as well as multiple invitations to speak at the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
Dr. Hartono’s areas of interest encompass atopic dermatitis, food allergy, immunodeficiency/immune dysregulation and health disparity in allergy/immunology. After her extensive training, she is happy to return to her home state of California to treat patients of all ages.
In her spare time, Dr. Hartono enjoys cooking and baking. She balances her busy professional life by traveling and staying active with her family and her two dogs, Calamity and Junior.
