A recent article by CNN talks about the multitude of contaminants that can be found in your bed. These contaminants include bacteria, mold, dust mites and other allergens which are kicked up during your sleep. Breathing these contaminants in can cause irritation, an allergic reaction or even breathing problems.

Although each of these contaminants may seem problematic, there are simple solutions to help you get rid of these pesky problems. For dust mites, the article suggests getting rid of carpet as well as damp mopping your floors. For mold and fungi, the article suggests using a HEPA air purifier next to your bed. The article also suggests washing your bedding at least once a week in hot water.

Overall, it is important to make sure you maintain a healthy sleeping environment.
