Allergies or COVID-19?

Runny nose, itchy throat, watery eyes, fever…could it be allergies or COVID-19? People suffering from allergies know that it’s hard to differentiate between COVID-19 and allergy symptoms. As we’re in the midst of allergy season in the Central Valley, here’s how you can tell if you need to get tested for COVID-19 or make an appointment at Baz Allergy, Asthma & Sinus Center for allergy treatment.

While allergies and COVID-19 share some similarities, there are notable differences such as sneezing; itchy, watery eyes; and the loss of taste and smell. While COVID-19 may cause a stuffy nose, it rarely causes the sneezing frequently associated with allergies. Itchy, watery eyes are a common allergy symptom, but are seldom related to COVID-19. If you experience sudden loss of taste or smell not associated with congestion, you most likely have COVID-19.

Look at the infographic below to see if more of your symptoms are caused by allergies or COVID-19. If you suspect that you’re suffering from allergies, asthma or a sinus infection, call our office at 559-436-4500 to schedule your appointment. You can also schedule your COVID-19 vaccine at our 7471 N. Fresno Street location at https://bazallergy.com/.
