Asthma

According to new research, eating cured meats might aggravate your asthma. Cured meats include ham, salami, sausages, bacon and several others. The study observed over 1,000 participants. Yet, of the participants that ate cured meats, 76% were more likely to see their asthma symptoms increase.

More importantly, researchers believe that nitrites in these meats may be the cause. Most of all, these meats have been linked to a higher risk of chronic diseases including cancer, heart disease, type 2 diabetes and COPD.

In conclusion, more research is needed, patients who suffer from asthma need to pay attention when consuming cured meats.
