Roughly one in thirteen children live with food allergies. The most common are allergies are related to peanuts, eggs and dairy. Despite this fact, children are exposed to food allergens on a daily basis.

However, there is a movement among parents and physicians to raise awareness about these allergies in order to prevent kids from coming in contact with these foods. In Clovis schools alone there are over 1217 students with food allergies.

As more students are diagnosed with food allergies, it is important to make sure they are safe from exposure at school. In some cases, schools are creating allergy free zones where schools prohibit certain foods such as peanuts from this area.
